A Ritual Dance Ceremony
of Fire, Body, and Breath
Meet your threshold in a high-energy dance container that draws from the ancient structure of the sweat lodge.
You come here to sweat, to move, to feel the edge.
To burn through the stories in your skin.
And come out the other side purified.

Sweat Alchemy is a somatic dance ritual inspired by the ancestral wisdom of the sweat lodge.
This is a space where the body becomes the vessel for transformation.
At the center of the dance floor burns an altar. Sacred fire and offerings create a focal point for intention.
For 90 minutes, we move through a high-energy dance journey. Deep, driving, tribal rhythms move us forward.
Our bodies will burn with effort. The music pushes us, challenges us, lifts us.
And just like in a sweat lodge, we move through doors. These are intentional pauses. Brief moments to breathe, re-center, and receive.
Water is passed hand to hand. Eyes closed, the heart opens.
Then we return. Again and again.
Until the work is done.

The Container

Sweat Alchemy is a dance ritual in three parts

The Invitation
We begin in silence. Grounded in breath. Anchored in presence.
Each person is smudged at the threshold.
This is our entry into the ritual, our first breath inside the container.
You’ll be invited to connect with your body, your intention, your prayer.
We call in why we came. What we need to burn through.

The Sweat
A one-way ride.
A sonic journey driven by deep, pulsing, ancestral rhythm and devotional beats. Everything designed to move you forward.
The floor is wild. Alive. Focused.
At certain intervals, the beat breaks.
We enter a door:
Stillness and breath.
Water passed from hand to hand.
Then it begins again.
This is our alchemical magic, using our bodies to turn the sweet river water into the waters of the ocean.
True soul alchemy through sweat.
The Return
We come back to the altar.
Changed. Emptied. Rewired.
Sometimes in silence. Sometimes in tears.
Sometimes in full-body joy.
Together, we seal the space, share water and fruit, bask in the stillness as our bodies relax.
We leave, having pushed through the threshold and burned away all that does not serve.

Just Sofia is a DJ and spaceholder with over a decade of international touring experience. She has held residencies worldwide, moving dance floors with high-energy rhythms in all genres.
Sweat Alchemy is her return to music as medicine. A space where the pulse of the beat is a tool for transformation and the dance floor is a place of prayer.
As Firekeeper, she holds the container with clarity and devotion, inviting presence, courage, and release.

Transformation does not ask for ease.
It asks for devotion.

What kind of music will it be?
The dance is driven by high-energy, tribal, percussive rhythms.
It’s not a chill or ambient space. The music is made to move you, challenge you, and carry you.

Is this like ecstatic dance?
Not exactly.
This is a ceremony, not a drop-in jam.
There’s a clear beginning, middle, and end. Everyone agrees to stay for the full experience.
Unlike the typical wave format we experience in ecstatic dance, this container is driving towards peak the entire time.
We will be moving to high energy music- think afro house, tech house, world beats, tribal tech.

Can I come late or leave early?
The integrity of the container depends on shared commitment. We suggest to arrive on time and stay through the end. That’s part of the work.
What’s the structure?
The ritual unfolds in three parts:
The Invitation (opening), The Sweat (dance journey), and The Return (closing).
Expect about 90 to 120 minutes total.
Is there talking during the dance?
This is a silent floor to support depth, focus, and inner connection.
The Firekeeper will speak at key moments to guide the ritual. This includes doors, transitions, and the arc of the journey.
Outside of that, we move without words. Let the body speak. Let the music carry.

Can I rest if I need to?
Yes.
You are always welcome to lie down, sit, breathe, or move at your own pace.
This is not about pushing beyond your limits. It's about staying present with whatever is real.
Can I use my phone?
Phones will be put away for this experience.
This is sacred space. Your presence is the offering.
Can I bring my child?
Please only bring your child if they are truly there to participate.
If your child wants to dance, sweat, and be part of the ritual, they are welcome.
This is an immersive container, give yourself the space to drop in fully.
What happens if it rains?
We keep going.
The rain becomes part of the ritual. Show up prepared and let it wash through you.
